Think back to when you were a child; when a basket full of laundry held prime fort making materials and trips to the top of the playground slide gave way to adventures on the high sea. When did we lose that ability to see creative possibilities and adventures in every-day experiences? How can we find it again?
Whether you are an artist, an aspiring creative or someone yearning to see every-day-life through a more colourful lens, this 4-week series will encourage you to tap into your innate creativity. You will begin explore the connection between creativity, yoga asana, meditation, mindfulness and the yogic concept Aparigraha (non-attachment). In each class you will explore the concept of FLOW though yoga asana and free-form journaling, and learn how to apply that same concept of FLOW to your own artistic / creative experiences, whether it be cooking a meal for yourself and your family, enjoying a walk, a solo coffee date or painting a masterpiece. Each class will end with an easy and approachable “creative homework” assignment inspired by Julia Cameron’s ground-breaking book, The Artist’s Way.
